What is Hoodoo?

Hoodoo is Americanized Afrikan folk magik that is under the umbrella of Afrikan Spirituality. Hoodoo was birthed during the American Slave Trade. My collective and direct ancestors were not permitted to practice Afrikan  Traditional Spiritual Systems due to colonization and their captivity so instead, they had to practice in secret with only what they could gather from Momma Earth. If it were discovered that they were doing spell work or ancestor veneration, our beloved ancestors were subject to the whip, other cruel punishments and even death.  Hoodoo  (or any other Afrikan Traditional Spiritual System) was , and still is, vilified by the  Abrahamic Religious collective.  The entertainment media also deem our traditional practice "evil" which nothing can be further from the truth.
